About the Junior SchoolThe Junior School at Sedbergh School implements small-class teaching. Class sizes do not exceed 20 students in Years 1-2 and 24 students in Years 3-5, with a student-to-teacher ratio of 1:5 and a Chinese-to-international staff ratio of 3:1. Operating on a five-year system, the Junior School provides a high-quality bilingual programme. Adopting a student-centred approach, it is dedicated to offering comprehensive support for children's development throughout their primary years. The programme aims to ignite strong inquisitiveness, foster a spirit of exploration and a questioning mindset, and help pupils establish positive behavioural habits from an early age.
