Sedbergh School was founded in 1525 by Roger Lupton, Director General of Eton College, with the help of St John’s College, Cambridge. Located near the beautiful Cumbria Lake District National Park, it is one of the most long standing and renowned independent boarding schools in the United Kingdom, providing a consistent education system from kindergarten to high school.
Sedbergh School is proud of its academic achievements with the vast majority of students being accepted by their first-choice university. Each year, 95% of the school's high school graduates are admitted to the ideal university of their first choice, and 75% of the students are admitted to the Russell University, which is known as the "Ivy League" in the UK, including top universities such as Cambridge University and Oxford University.
