It is a great pleasure to meet you all in Sedbergh School.
The school promotes a holistic education model, attaches equal importance to the all-round development of students’ morality, intelligence, physique, sociality and aesthetic. The school, through strict academic standards, immersive bilingual classes, advanced teaching facilities, and individualized teaching style, ensures that students make remarkable progress. The great campus atmosphere gives students the warmth of a family and a sense of belonging. Our education is a combination of the British boarding education system and excellent Chinese educational practices, with a view to tapping into the intrinsic strengths of students. In addition, we also emphasize on moral education. We host all kinds of competitions to help students develop resilience, physical strength, confidence, leadership, creativity, and humanity.
The school, while imparting academic knowledge, engages students in rich and colorful extracurricular activities and house activities. Students are encouraged to join the Sedbergh School International Alumni Association. Our teachers, who are from different countries with different cultural backgrounds, are in a good position to cultivate students’ multi-cultural consciousness. We believe that students’ potential is not static, and that is why we adopt a sustainable and challenging approach to education, along with a feedback mechanism to help them achieve self-improvement and ultimate goals.
As a bilingual boarding school, the British Boarding System is at its core. Each student has his or her own house, and the members of the house live together like family members. The daily feedback from faculty members helps students be polite and abide by rules. The brilliant and varied house competitions appeal greatly to students, making their campus life full of fun.
